Tigers offer local QB

It's no secret that MUS quarterback Barry Brunetti will be one of the top quarterbacks in the state of Tennessee for the 2010 class. Recently Brunetti took his SAT and then got something he was looking for. A Tiger offer.

After a face to face meeting with Tiger Coach Tommy West, Brunetti says "I am considering Memphis very strongly, they're my hometown team".

They are not the only team after the Memphis native. Duke has already offered, West Virginia has spent time at the school, Florida is keeping tabs, Tennessee is taking notice, and Alabama has been asking about him. With all these BCS schools do the Tigers really have a chance?

"Yes, this meeting I had with Coach West was a good meeting. He mentioned how I would be a perfect fit for their system."

Brunetti knows a lot of the Memphis players and he says he's real comfortable with the coaches. The coaches feel the same. Brunetti is a quarterback the Tigers would love to get. They have recruited some playmakers and Brunetti is a quarterback that can take the team to the next level.

As the 6-foot-2 quarterback continues to improve in school and through the football offseason, Brunetti will keep an eye on the Tigers this season. Being that his dad is a big fan, you'll see Brunetti in the stands at the Tigers home games.

Stay tuned to TigerSportsReport as we'll keep you updated to see if the Tigers can keep this dual-threat quarterback home.
