2A CAK and Alcoa tied at No. 1 in AP Poll

The Top 3 in each classification of this week's Tennessee Associated Press Prep Football Poll might have changed in order, but the Top 3 teams are still the same in each.
However, Alcoa (7-1) and CAK (8-0) are tied for No.1 in Class 2A.

The two foes will have a showdown at Alcoa on Thursday Oct. 25.
Both teams will be challenged this week when CAK travels to 6A LaVergne and Alcoa is at Class 4A No. 3 Knoxville Fulton (7-1).
Since CAK's 43-42 loss to LaVergne on Oct. 21, 2011, the Warriors have reeled off 14 consecutive victories that include a 3A state championship.
CAK quarterback Charlie High completed 22-of-26 passes for 271 yards and seven TDs in the Warriors 56-31 win over Kingston.
High thrived on the return of Tennessee wide receiver commit Josh Smith, who caught eight High passes for 158 yards and four TDs.
South Pittsburg's 35-21 loss to Class 2A No. 1 Boyd-Buchanan dropped the Class A No. 1 Pirates to No. 3 with Goodlettsville moving up from No. 2 to the top spot and Moore County moving to No. 2.
In the other classifications, 6A Maryville (8-0), 5A Beech (8-0), 4A Giles County (8-0) and D-II Ensworth (8-0) all remained No. 1.
